Join local printmaker Aidan Liggins for a seasonal print workshop and make something special this Festive season - your own hand printed fabric wrapping.

'Furoshiki' refers to both the traditional Japanese fabric and the method of wrapping. They are an easy, beautiful and zero-wase gift wrapping alternative, you can use year after year.

There will be some festive designs to inspire you, as you'll be hand carving your own printing block and there will be time to play with patterns before printing your fabric wrap. We will be trying a few different wrap methods in the workshop, so you'll come away with a few different ways to use your wrap. Plus you'll also come away with your printing block to keep on printing at home.

Entry includes complimentary teas and coffees, and a baked treat from Slow Rise Bakery.

About Your Host

Aidan is a Wakefield-based textile block printer whose work is rooted in tradition, slowness, and a love for the natural world. Working exclusively with natural linen, water-based inks and foraged dyes, each piece is hand-printed using traditional block printing techniques that celebrate the beauty of imperfection and the rhythm of handmade craft.

Inspired by a connection to nature, ancient folklore, and the seasonal cycles that once guided daily life, Aidan's designs are simple and timeless. Every print is created slowly and intentionally, embracing the principles of slow consumption and sustainable living.
